To my parents, I am their always scheming irresponsible daughter. To my roommates I am the one who won’t shut up and the one who always sets off the smoke detector.
To the young women I
grew up with, I was the ambitious leader that always wanted to have fun. To the
deaf lady in my home ward I was an answer to many prayers.
To my co-workers, I am
the loud boy-crazy supervisor. To my boss, I am the one who has an opinion
who voices it boldly.
To my sisters I am
competition for the largest shoe collection and to my brothers I am the tickle
monster.
To my friends in high school I
am the over devout Christian. To other students in the Harold B. Lee library I
am only friendly competition.
To the
boys written in my journal I am a heart breaker or the one that held on
too long. To the men of my future I am merely a mystery.
To strangers as they
walk past me I am just another young adult, I am the girl they will
never miss because they never knew me.
To the stars, I am an insignificant nobody staring up at them. To my God I am a heir to a throne.
To the stars, I am an insignificant nobody staring up at them. To my God I am a heir to a throne.
I am Clarissa Oliphant; I
am all these people.
But to everyone I am only a part, a fraction of me.
Only to my Savior I am a whole. Only he knows me perfectly.
Only to my Savior I am a whole. Only he knows me perfectly.
