So my family took their usual road trip this year out to utah. although
they didnt have ice cream melting in the door of the sliding door nor
did they get stranded in wyoming and end up sleeping on the side of the
road in a tent, the trip did seem quite eventful.
The day they got in there were lots of hugs and slobbery kisses from zak
(he makes it apparent to make sure he licks his lips to make sure they
are quite moist before he kisses you). The following day was probably
one of the most exciting being all together. Kassie went into labor
while the rest of us sat eagerly at grandma oliphants waiting for
updates every couple of minutes. In the mean time we had fun shaving
terrills head. Terrill, a few other cousins and uncles did this to
support my grandma whos going through chemo right now.

Kassie and Jesse became parents to a little boy (see previous post) name Emmett Jesse Draper... and boy is he just adorable.
Fun things we got to together included seeing the 4th of july parade
together, visiting purple turtle, spending the after noon at pioneer
park, playing games at calvins, many bbq and get togethers at the
grandmas, and even swimming.
While
amanda and i were in the same town i also offered to help her with
senior pictures so natalia joined us and we had a girls night having fun
and playing salon and went out and took a few. they turned out pretty
good for my not so great camera abililties and our lack of light but
either way amanda sure did look gorgeous! :]
It
was hard to say goodbye and their stay seemed to just wiz by but only a
few more months until christmas when we are all together again and
after alecia's little one comes and richard is home from the mish.
